About this role

sofatutor is a digital learning platform for nearly 2 million early learners, students, parents, and teachers. As a (Junior) Full-Stack Engineer (gn) in Team Growth, you ship features on the visitor-facing pages where new users first meet us. You build; our Growth Specialists deliver the testing ideas and hypotheses.

πŸ“Remote (EMEA) | ⏳ 40h/week

Your Tasks:

As (Junior) Full-Stack Engineer (gn) you will:

  • Build and release features on visitor-facing pages and conversion funnels.

  • Implement A/B tests cleanly and reliably, based on hypotheses handed over by our Growth Specialists.

  • Use AI tools daily – prompt, steer, validate – and review AI-generated code with the same care as your own.

  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests (Capybara, Cypress). Testing matters more, not less, when code is co-produced with AI.

  • Own critical systems in the visitor journey: maintenance, reliability, and incident response.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on engineering experience in web development – enough to ship production-ready code independently from day one.

  • comfortable across the stack (HAML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby).

  • Strong eye for code review and QA β†’ you spot what's off, whether it's your code or AI's.

  • You actively use AI in your daily work and have real opinions: where it helps, where it fails, and how to review output before it ships.

  • Pragmatic – excited by focused, high-impact work on a clean stack, not by the newest framework or the most complex architectural puzzle.

  • Very good written and spoken English

What we offer:

Pick the benefits that matter to you:

  • πŸ•’ Flexible Work: Flexible hours, remote-first, up to 180 days/year from EU.

  • πŸ’» Remote Setup: Laptop, headset, monitor + €100/2yrs for home office.

  • 🌍 Mobility: Public transport subsidy or Swapfiets bike.

  • πŸŽ‰ Team Events: Regular meetups – online and in Berlin.

  • πŸ’š Extra Time Off: 2 paid volunteering days + Dec 24 & 31 off.

  • πŸ’ͺ🏻 Wellbeing: Urban Sports Club or gym + free access to Bloom.
