About this role

The Engineering Lead is responsible for portfolio health and data, managing scope, financial forecasts, and stakeholder change and communication plans. They will lead a high-performing natural team, establish governance structures, and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering or demonstrated capability
  • 10+ years in IT with 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
  • Ability to support portfolio demand scoping, estimation, and delivery methodology selection
  • Ability to lead delivery of the program's objectives, benefits, and desired outcomes against the plan
  • Ability to manage program budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively, and projects remain within budget constraints.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks related to the program and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Ability to implement quality control processes to maintain high standards in project deliverables and outcomes
  • Ability to regularly report on program progress, milestones, and key performance indicators
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile project delivery or product experience
  • Demonstrated servant leadership behaviors, including empowerment and increasing transparency that enables team self-organization
  • Demonstrated learning agility in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations
  • Familiarity with and ability to adhere to project management methodologies and tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience coaching stakeholders
  • Experience leading a distributed team
  • Ability to manage highly complex projects, including responsibility for both the largest investments and the smallest changes for the business
