About this role

The Personal Wellbeing Team Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of the Personal Wellbeing programme, working with supply chain partners to ensure successful meeting of contractual requirements and participant outcomes. This role will provide a comprehensive Personal Wellbeing programme to enable participants to make sustained changes to their lifestyle, including associates linked to causes of offending, to enable successful reintegration into local communities with positive role models, encouraging changes to core values and beliefs on the Impact of offending behaviour, and to enable those being released from prison to be socially included in their local communities.

Requirements

  • Substantial operational experience delivering contracts across one or more sites
  • Significant experience as an operational manager within a probation, justice, or similar environment
  • Recent experience working within the Justice sector
  • Strong leadership capability, with effective decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in risk management and safeguarding
  • Experience of partnership working and managing a range of stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrable ability to support staff development and build effective, high performing teams
  • Experience in performance management and driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to embed quality practice across service delivery
  • Experience of evaluating outcomes to inform and improve practice
  • Ability to work flexibly in line with the requirements of the role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, work independently, and proactively seek solutions to problems
  • Experience undertaking face to face client meetings, including working with senior staff, information professionals, and management
  • A strong team player with the ability to use influencing strategies to gain commitment and drive outcomes
  • High levels of initiative, motivation, and resilience
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for internal and external meetings, as required
