Position Summary:

Under limited supervision and direction, theIndirect Procurement Specialistnegotiates and acquires materials, scientific equipment, and services to optimally meet the needs of the operations of the business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate competitive cost solutions for individual or RFQ level requests in a timelymannerthatbestsupportsthecoreobjectivesofthecompany,includingqualityand delivery requirements.
  • Evaluatevendorservicesandquotestoidentifythemostdesirablesuppliers.
  • Utilizeexpertisebyprovidingalternativeproductsolutionsorrecommendationsin competitive situations or when a functional equivalent is permitted.
  • Buildandmaintainsupplierrelationshipsandprovideinsightintosupplierperformance;work with suppliers to resolve any quality, price, delivery and invoice discrepancies.
  • Continuetoimprovepurchasepricetomeettheorganization’sfinancialgoalsforexisting products and supplier relationships.
  • BuildandmaintaincollaborativerelationshipswithinNeoGenomicstounderstandcurrentand future business needs on a timely basis.
  • Negotiatedealsandcontractswithsuppliersbasedonbusinessrequirements,including pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules.
  • Use data to drive decisions and provide market/competitive feedback while supporting the organizationandprovidingvisibilityandaccessibilitytosuppliermetrics,toolsandprocesses.
  • Developcategorystrategiesandprovidestrategicinsightonsupplierrisks.

AdditionalResponsibilities(maybeassigned):

  • AllotherdutiesasassignedbySr. Manager, Category Management & Strategic Sourcing or VPGlobal Procurement & SupplyChain.

Position Expectations:

  • Achievesdesiredlevelofcompetencyandaccuracyforthemaindepartmentprocessesand responsibilities of assigned position, as defined in established SOPs
  • Worksproductivelyandefficientlytoachievecompanyanddepartmentalgoals
  • Communicateseffectivelywithalllevelsofstaff.
  • AdherestoNeoGenomicsLaboratoriescorevalues,safety,compliance,andCompanypolicies and procedures.

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • 4-yeardegreeinbusinessorrelatedfield.
  • 4+ years of relevant supply chain experience
  • Strongcomputerskills,includingallMicrosoftOfficeprogramswithAdvancedExcelskills.
  • Abilitytomulti-taskinagrowing,dynamicenvironment.
  • Abilitytothinkcreatively,highly-drivenandself-motivated.
  • Experiencedatbuildingpositiverelationshipswithpeopleandteamsacrossabroad,diverseorganization
  • Abilitytoprioritizetasksandmeetdeadlines.
  • Thehigheststandardsofaccuracyandprecision;highlyorganized.
  • Advancedknowledgeofstandardpurchasingandnegotiatingpractices
