Telehealth Psychiatrist

Schedule:Minimum of 4 hours a week

Compensation: 1099, to be determined by experience

Location: telehealth or on-site

Responsibilities:

  • The position is for apsychiatrist to provide psychiatric services for an8-bed Long-Term Structured Residence (LTSR).
  • Focuses on delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented psychiatric care to adults with serious mental illness in a structured residential setting.
  • The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support stabilization, continuity of care, and long-term recovery.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed
  • The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
  • The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
  • Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
  • Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management
  • Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.

Qualifications:

  • Psychiatrist is required to have an active and unrestricted licensed in PA.
  • 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required)
  • Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry  
  • Valid and unrestricted DEA in PA.
  • Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
