Our client is a California-based real estate, property management, and advisory firm expanding its Property Casualty insurance services. They partner with property owners, businesses, investors, and HOA boards to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions.
Why does this role exist?
This role exists to fuel the growth of the client’s Property Casualty insurance division by generating qualified opportunities through disciplined outbound outreach and consistent follow-up. The SDR will build a healthy pipeline, educate prospects on Property, Commercial, Business, and HOA insurance solutions, and coordinate quotes and applications. By aligning closely with internal property management and advisory teams, this role converts demand into revenue while delivering a high-touch, trust-centered client experience.

The Impact you’ll make

Outbound Prospecting and Lead Generation
  • Conduct high-volume cold calling, emailing, and networking to create new opportunities
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads, nurture them through discovery, and book meetings
  • Execute targeted campaigns to reach property owners, business owners, investors, and HOA boards
Pipeline Management and Follow-Through
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline with disciplined, scheduled follow-ups
  • Log activities and update deal stages in the CRM with complete, accurate notes
  • Meet or exceed weekly outreach and meeting-setting targets
Client Education and Quoting Support
  • Explain Property, Commercial, Business, and HOA insurance coverages in clear, simple terms
  • Gather underwriting information, prepare or coordinate quotes, and support application submission
  • Set expectations on timelines, next steps, and documentation required
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with property management and advisory teams to identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Coordinate with licensed agents/Account Managers to move prospects to binding
  • Share market feedback to refine messaging, offers, and outreach strategy
Professionalism and Continuous Improvement
  • Uphold a trust-first, fiduciary approach in every client interaction
  • Refine talk tracks, objection handling, and outreach sequences over time
  • Stay current on commercial insurance trends and agency tools

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required:
  • At least 1 year of proven outbound B2B sales or SDR experience with proven cold-calling success
  • Industry experience in at least one: PC/Commercial/Business Insurance, Property Management, Real Estate, HOA management, or Financial services/consultative B2B
  • Excellent verbal and written English; confident and professional phone presence
  • Demonstrated CRM proficiency and pipeline management discipline
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with strong organization and follow-through

  • Hard skills: Cold calling, lead qualification, discovery, objection handling, CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce/GoHighLevel or similar), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, VoIP dialers (RingCentral/Aircall/Dialpad), email (Outlook/Gmail); bonus: Buildium and/or insurance agency systems (Applied Epic, EZLynx, HawkSoft, AMS360)
  • Insurance familiarity: Commercial lines, business insurance basics, quoting/underwriting fundamentals (preferred)
  • Soft skills: Persistence, hunter mindset, active listening, clarity in communication, attention to detail, process discipline, and relationship-building grounded in trust
WFH Set-Up:
  • Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
  • Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
  • Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
  • Back-up computer and internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
