The Partner we are hiring for is a fast-scaling Tech Company headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany.

The well-funded scale-up is the leading software provider for digital work instructions, checklists, and protocols. They are creating a platform where companies lay the foundation for digitized production and reduce the effort for their process documentation.

Tasks

We are looking for an AI Engineer (m|f|d) to join our Partner in Frankfurt am Main. You'll play a key role in bringing AI concepts to life in production-ready, customer-centric applications, spanning from quick prototypes all the way to scalable product features.

You will become a key member of a cross-functional product team, actively shaping a long-term vision: an AI Assistant that supports operations teams across all production workflows from planning and execution to analysis and continuous improvement.

As part of your daily business, you will:
⏩ Design, develop and deliver AI-powered features end-to-end: from proof of concept to production on our Partner's stack (Angular, Node/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Azure)

⏩ Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services, APIs, and open-source models to solve real customer problems (document processing, root-cause analysis, ERP/MES integrations)

⏩ Shape the AI/ML tech stack with real ownership over tools, frameworks, and architecture

⏩ Build and maintain eval frameworks to ensure AI outputs meet quality, reliability, and safety standards

⏩ Collaborate with product and engineering, identify high-impact AI opportunities, and grow AI competency across the team

Requirements

You shall bring:

✅ 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with proven hands-on AI/ML experience (e.g. LLM integration, data pipelines, ML model deployment)

✅ Strong software engineering fundamentals: writing well-structured application code (not just notebooks or scripts) with modern development practices

✅ Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, vector databases, and OpenAI APIs

✅ Familiarity with TypeScript and web frameworks

✅ The ability to move fast from proof of concept to production, with an experimental yet methodical approach

✅ Strong conceptual thinking — able to connect the dots and communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

✅ Professional proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken)

Nice to have qualifications:

⏩ Experience with Azure OpenAI Services, LangGraph, and pgvector/RAG architectures

⏩ Background in industrial or manufacturing software (MES, ERP integrations)

⏩ Experience writing architectural decision records or cost/build-vs-buy analyses
