About this role

Overview

At Groups, we know recovery is possible – and no one should have to do it alone. As a Counselor, you’ll lead dynamic group therapy sessions and be a vital part of our member-centered care teams. You’ll work in a mission-driven environment where compassion, integrity, and human connection drive real transformation.

We’re more than a treatment provider – we’re a recovery community. Join us as we change the future of addiction healthcare.

If you believe in recovery, harm reduction, and member-centered care — this is your place.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Lead 3–4 one-hour group therapy sessions per day using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
  • Facilitate group discussions using a “plug and play” approach from approved modalities to meet members where they are within the guardrails of our clinical framework.
  • Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
  • Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
  • Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
  • Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.

Qualifications

  • An active LCSW in any of the following states: Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia
  • Minimum two years’ leading groups in a SUD setting.
  • High comfort level with Technology: EMR, Telehealth software, Google products (Gmail, Google Docs/Sheets/Drive), mobile apps, etc.
  • Compassion, collaboration, commitment to quality care, and an investment in member success.
  • Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9pm as needed.
  • Other preferred backgrounds, experience, and skills include: mental health, social work, substance use disorder treatment, therapy, human services, social services, medication assisted treatment or MAT.
