About this role
Job Title: Testing and Quality Assurance Analyst
Client: Shared Health
Work Location: Remote (within Canada only)
Duration: July 2, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (with possible extension to June 30, 2027)
Work Hours: Full-time (7.75 hours/day, with up to 10% additional hours as required)
Overview
Shared Health is seeking a highly experienced Testing and Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Digital Shared Services initiative. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of healthcare information systems that enable digital transformation across the provincial health sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and execute comprehensive test scenarios, scripts, and test cases aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing for healthcare information systems, including clinical and administrative applications.
- Validate data integrity, workflows, and system configurations across enterprise systems, including ERP-related solutions.
- Conduct testing for Altera Sunrise suite applications, ensuring accuracy of configurations and clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and support system implementation.
- Participate in process mapping, requirement documentation, and quality assurance planning.
- Report defects, track resolutions, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies within healthcare IT environments.
Mandatory Qualifications (Pass/Fail)
- Valid PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification.
- Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) – Associate level or higher (IIST recognized).
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in developing and executing test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Proven experience supporting clinical documentation systems implementations.
- 6+ years of testing experience within a healthcare environment (clinical or administrative systems).
- 4+ years of experience testing ERP systems in healthcare, including business process validation and data verification.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Altera Sunrise suite testing in a healthcare setting.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business/QA Analyst, including:
- Requirements gathering (functional & non-functional)
- Business process mapping
- Gap analysis
Additional Requirements
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and workflows.
- Experience working in large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment within Canada.
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation tools.
- Familiarity with PHIA (Personal Health Information Act – Manitoba) compliance.
- Knowledge of Agile or hybrid project methodologies
