Robot Simulation Programmer (S.O)

Position Title & Basic Details

We're seeking a Robot Simulation Programmer specializing in automotive manufacturing systems. This is a contract-based opportunity supporting future programs for an automotive OEM / Tier 1 environment. 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for developing robotic simulations and virtual validation models to support automated manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in offline programming, cycle time optimization, and digital validation of robotic workcells.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop robotic simulations using tools such as Process Simulate, RoboGuide, RobotStudio, Delmia, or Visual Components
  • Perform reach studies, collision detection, and cycle time optimization
  • Support virtual commissioning using PLC emulators where applicable
  • Create offline robot programs for major robot brands (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, etc.)
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to validate system designs
  • Support digital twin development for manufacturing systems
  • Generate technical documentation including simulation reports and design assumptions
  • Support design reviews and customer presentations

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Technical Expertise: Robot simulation software and offline programming tools
  • Experience: 5+ years in robotic simulation or robotic automation environments
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive OEM or Tier 1 experience
  • Experience with virtual commissioning
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, material handling, and assembly
